WaterBase 900+ Series

The De Beer Refinish WaterBase 900+ Series is one of the most user-friendly water-based coating systems currently available. Featuring hi-opacity mixing colours for quick creation of all solid, metallic, xirallics and pearl colours. One of the major benefits is that it is an entirely non-stirring system. WaterBase 900+ Series is a latex based product simply mixed with water based thinners. The latex suspends the product in the container which eliminates any pre stirring, expensive stirring equipment and colour problems from unmixed tinters.
The VOC-compliant range was developed by our Research & Development laboratory in Lelystad, where production also takes place. Valspar bv is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified and stands for excellent quality, good products, reliable distribution and outstanding commercial and technical support.

Packaging

Our unique containers are equipped with a dispensing system that minimises the time the mixing colours are exposed to the air, simultaneously avoiding spillage and soiling of the packaging. The design of the containers limits waste to a minimum. The popular mixing colours are available in litre packaging, all other colours come in half-litre packaging.

Shelving System

As the WaterBase 900+ Series mixing colours do not require stirring, mechanically driven mixing machines, including mixing lids, are now superfluous, making mechanical malfunctions and problems resulting from unmixed mixing colours a thing of the past. In their place, De Beer provides a shelving system consisting of multiple shelves. Each shelf has room for two rows, giving you direct access to the stock behind containers that have already been opened.

Why become VOC-compliant?

Environmental regulations and consumer demand, have led to the development of low-VOC coatings. These new paints are durable, cost-effective and less harmful to human and environmental health. Low VOC coatings use water as a carrier instead of solvent bases. As such, the levels of harmful emissions are lower than solvent-borne surface coatings. The amount of VOC varies among different VOC-compliant products. Smash repairers find that switching to VOC compliant products from the WaterBase 900+ Series is comparatively easy and require minimal investments. The system can be integrated into any standard bodyshop with additional drying equipment to increase drying time.

Comparisons of VOC Solvent Waterborne

VOCs are measured by how many grams/per litre of solvent compared to solid content in a product. Since the introduction of the European Union of VOC directive 2004/42/EC, as of 1st January 2007, manufactures are restricted to selling VOC compliant products to all EU countries. EU guidelines on Single Stage Solid Colour and Clear coats are not to exceed 420g/per ltr VOC ready to use and Basecoats have to be Waterborne.

Minimal Emissions

For Paint Work
The De Beer WaterBase technology reduces solvent emissions by at least 50%. This is great for the environment and better for applicators health than traditional solvent based coatings. Additionally, your customers can feel confident their work has been completed with minimal emissions.

For Clean-up
By using a waterborne system, not only the consumption but also the waste by-product of gun wash chemicals can be greatly reduced. Further more, 90% of clean-up can be completed with water. By reducing the waste also reduces the cost of disposing of the by-product.
